At American Heritage of South Jordan we limit the class sizes based on the grade. While we would like to seat everyone who wants to attend our school, a preference for manageable class sizes dictates that we must often create waiting lists for several grades.

How to Enroll:

Copies of the Application for Enrollment are available at the School or at this link.

The basic process for admission to American Heritage is as follows:

New applicants, please call the School. Waiting lists for various grades fluctuate from year-to-year and the admission criteria are fairly rigorous.

Complete and submit the Application for Enrollment, including the non-refundable application fee and all attachments. All current patrons and waiting list applicants must reapply on an annual basis.

Administration will review applications and call new applicant families to arrange an interview. Returning patrons do not require an interview unless their child is entering the 6th grade (mandatory 6th Grade Entrance Interview for all students/families entering the 6th grade).

Once an interview is completed, administration will notify the applicant if and when a decision has been made to admit the applicant for an open space.

Current patrons should turn in completed enrollment application forms for all returning students before the third Monday in February.

About American Heritage of South Jordan

At American Heritage of South Jordan we use the Utah State Core Curriculum as a guide in order to ensure that each student is gaining the knowledge necessary in their various subjects. We combine it with the Thomas Jefferson Education model and The Principle Approach from the Foundation for American Christian Education, which inspire reflective thinking and creativity, glorifying God, the Creator, not man and his knowledge and accomplishments, bringing liberty to learning. Placing God's Principles at the heart of each subject guides every aspect of the teaching and learning process, our methods with the students, the way we govern our classrooms, and the design and content of our curriculum. This is found in all subjects, including English or Literature, Science, History, Math, Art, Music, and Recreation.

At American Heritage we recognize that each student is at a different level and stage in their education. We have developed a program where the students are placed in a Language Arts and Math class based solely upon their level, rather than their grade or age. This allows us to work with the students in their reading, writing and mathematics based on the knowledge they have and build upon that foundation. We use the Saxon Math program and have created a unique blend of wonderful curriculum for the Language Arts classes including the Classics!
